As a financial officer you will learn how to engage with variety of audiences, and manage the financial aspect of running a non-profit !

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Bring on the Books’ budget

  • Allocating budgets to each of Bring on the Books’ unique projects

  • Working on the financial sustainability of the non-profit

  • Speaking on behalf of the financial sector in team meetings

  • Working with the CEO to create partnerships that will further Bring on the Books’ reach

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Financial Literacy: Say no more: you love finance! You know how to create basic financial projections and create financial reports to share at team meetings. Experience with nonprofits is an added plus.

  • Innovative: Being able to be creative with the funds that we have and being able to use them to further the mission of the organization is highly favorable.

  • Can­do attitude: There is a willingness to be flexible, adaptive, and go with the flow.

  • A team player: A self-starter who is also extremely innovative, professional and resourceful.

  • Story lover: You love a good story. Growing up you had a passion for entertaining stories through reading books, watching movies, or binge watching Netflix.

FINANCE OFFICER

As a Technology Officer you will learn and gain experience in software development, build an awesome portfolio of work, and lead a company’s technical vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build applications for the BOB app on iOS

  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

  • Establish the company’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the company’s technological development

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fluent: You are proficient or willing to gain experience with Swift.

  • ­Knowledgeable: You have a basic understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

  • Data viz: Thriving on data, you have the ability to analyze and migrate data between databases such as Parse, Azure, and Heroku.

  • Can­do attitude: There is a willingness to be flexible, adaptive, and go with the flow.

  • A team player: A self-starter who is also extremely innovative, professional and resourceful.
